Extreme Fighting Championship Africa has signed a major broadcast deal with Fight Network, Canada’s premier TV channel dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports. The multiyear broadcast deal will see top fights from past and future EFC AFRICA events, which will open up the promotions shows to a much wider audience.
News of the the broadcast deal was announced via official press release.
Here is what Fight Network Programming Manager, Ariel Shnerer had to say about the new deal:
“As the world’s fastest growing sport, mixed martial arts is a staple on Fight Network with promotions from all over the world, including Asia, Europe and South America. As the biggest organization on the continent of Africa, EFC AFRICA is a perfect fit for Fight Network’s extended slate of international mixed martial arts properties and Fight Network fans should appreciate all the action!”
The new partnership will start with EFC AFRICA 08, the first EFC AFRICA event to have three title fights in one night, Africa’s premium MMA content will soon be available in 1 million homes throughout Canada.

“Canada is a huge MMA market and we look forward to showcasing Africa’s best athletes and match-ups on Fight Network.”
The multi-year deal will allow EFC AFRICA to expand their fan-base and reach a much wider audience over the next few years. Already recognised as the biggest MMA promotion in Africa, producing 8 events annually, this new deal will definitely help the brand to continue growing.
