  • Ian Entwistle Lewis Long vs. Ian Entwistle takes place at BAMMA 10 in LondonA new fight has been added to the BAMMA 10 fight card as Lewis Long (6-1) takes on Ian Entwistle (6-1) in a lightweight battle. The event takes place on Sept. 15 at the Wembley Arena in London, England.

The matchup was officially announced by BAMMA via press release.

BAMMA 10 will be headlined by a lightweight title bout between Rob Sinclair and Andre Winner. The show will air LIVE on 5*, with the highlights to be broadcast on the U.K’s Channel 5.

Lewis Long is currently riding a four fight winning streak, most recently defeating Diego Vital via first round TKO at a Colosseum Fighting Championships event in June. Prior to that he scored a unanimous decision win over Jacek Toczydlowski at ‘VOK – The Uprising’, and a first round submission victory over Stuart Davies at ‘VOK 1 – Valley Of Kings’ in May 2011.

Here is what Lewis Long had to say about the upcoming bout:

I’m very excited; and I’ve got a lot of confidence coming off my last fight, especially on my feet. He’s incredibly aggressive but that won’t last for long. I’m going to go through him, standing or on the ground. It’s really exciting and very prestigious to be fighting at Wembley Arena. I’m also looking forward to see Sinclair because I want him next: I want to smash him too!

Ian Entwistle is currently riding a two fight winning streak, most recently defeating Michael Bowman via first round submission at OMMAC 13 in March. Prior to that he scored yet another first round submission over Andy Green at Cage Conflict 11 last October, and dropped a submission loss to Brad Wheeler at CWFC 43 in June 2011.

Here is what Ian Entwistle had to say about the scheduled fight:

I’m feeling really good about the fight and I can’t wait. Since I first started I always wanted to fight on BAMMA, especially the Wembley card and I took the fight for that reason. It’s going to be an all out war. I’ll usually come out and say if I think an opponent’s rubbish, but he’s a good fighter. I’ve got quite a bit of respect for him, but I know that I’m better.
