A new bout has been added to the UFC 158 card as Sean Pierson (13-6) faces Rick Story (14-6) in a welterweight matchup. The event is set to take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada, on March 16th.
UFC officials announced the bout earlier today.
UFC 158 will feature a headline bout between UFC welterweight champion Georges St.Pierre and challenger Nick Diaz. The main card will air LIVE on PPV with the prelims expected to air on Facebook and FX.
Sean Pierson is currently riding a two fight winning streak, most recently defeating Lance Benoist via unanimous decision at UFC 152 in September. Prior to that he scored a unanimous decision victory over Jake Hecht at UFC on FX 3 in June. His most recent loss was against Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 141 in December 2011, where he dropped a unanimous decision. Prison now has the chance to extend his winning streak to three with a good performance against Story.
Rick Story last fought at UFC 153 in October, where he dropped a first round submission loss to Demian Maia. Prior to that he picked up a unanimous decision win over Brock Jardine at UFC on FX 4 in June. That victory snapped a two fight losing streak Story had been on, dropping decision losses to Charlie Brenneman and Martin Kampmann during 2011. Story will no doubt look to get himself back into the win column against Pierson on March 16.
