Two new bouts have been added to the UCMMA 33 card as Jordan Wright faces Jamaine Facey in a UK-1 lightweight title bout, and Denniston Sutherland takes on Ben Callum in a middleweight championship fight. The event will take place at The Troxy in London, on April. 6.
UCMMA officials confirmed the two new matchups today via official press release.
Jordan Wright was last in action against Andy Cona, where he scored an impressive KO victory at the end of the very first round. He will now look to build off that performance and add another win to his record on April 6th.
Jamaine Facey last fought at UCMMA 31 in December, where he also faced Andy Cona, Facey won the bout via first round KO. That victory snapped a two fight losing streak Jamaine had been on, dropping losses against Willie Parks and Jake Bostwick during 2012. Facey will no doubt look to kick off his UK-1 campaign with a big win over Wright.
Denniston Sutherland‘s last fight was at CWFC 50 in December, where he dropped a unanimous decision loss against Scott Askham. Prior to that he had been on a two fight winning streak, defeating notable fighters such as Brett Sizeland and Leeroy Barnes during 2012. Sutherland will now look to bounce back into the win column with a big performance against Callum.
Ben Callum is currently riding a three fight winning streak, most recently defeating Dan Dixon via first round submission at UCMMA 31 in December. Prior to that he scored a first round KO victory over Tautvydas Lileikis in August, and a first round TKO win over Charlie Langdon in May. Ben has the chance to extend his winning streak to four by defeating Sutherland in April.
