A new bout has been added to the BAMMA 12 card as Max Nunes (9-0) faces Marcin Lazarz (5-0) in a light heavyweight matchup. The event is set to take place at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena on March. 9.

BAMMA officials announced the new bout via official press release.

BAMMA 12 is set to feature a headline bout between Jimmy Wallhead and Matt Veach, who will engage in a welterweight battle. The event will feature in a two hour live broadcast on 5* in the UK with highlights to follow on Channel 5;  and will be televised on AXS-TV in the US, The Fight Network in Canada, Red Media in Russia, TV Esporte Interativo in Brazil, Setanta in Africa and TDN  in Latin America.

Max Nunes was last in action at BAMMA 11 in December 2012, where he scored a first round TKO victory over Kevin Thompson. Prior to that he picked up a first round submission victory over Tony Moran at BAMMA 10 in September 2012, and a first round TKO win over Brett Cole at Fury MMA 6. Nunes now has the chance to extend his winning streak to ten with a big win over Lazarz.

Marcin Lazarz is currently riding a five fight winning streak, most recently defeating Sam Mensah via first round submission at BAMMA 11 in December 2012. Prior to that he scored a second round TKO victory over Neil Bittong at WFC 3 in September 2011, and a unanimous decision win over Pavel Doroftei at WFC 2 in June 2011. Lazarz will no doubt look to put in a big performance against Nunes on March 9th.
