News has emerged that Luis Ramos will take on Matt Riddle at UFC 141 which will take place on December 30th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This welterweight bout has been added to a fight card that will be headlined by the fight between heavyweights Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem.
Brazilian Luis Ramos will look to bounce back from his loss against Erick Silva at UFC 134 which took place on his home soil in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is never nice to lose a debut fight within the UFC especially when prior to that fight Ramos was on a three fight winning streak. I am sure he will now look to make a statement with a big win over Riddle and begin his climb up the welterweight division.
Matt Riddle has not has a particularly good time recently with regards to scoring a win. He has lost his last two fights in the octagon which adds a bit of pressure to perform in this upcoming fight. Matt lost a decision to Sean Pierson at UFC 124 and lost again by decision to Lance Benoist at a UFC fight night event held in September of this year where the bout earned ”Fight Of The Night”. There is no doubt that Riddle is an exciting fighter, but this is a must win bout for Matt.
