News has recently emerged that Jake Ellenberger is likely to take on Diego Sanchez at a UFC on Fuel TV event sheduled for February 15th 2012. This welterweight fight will headline an event for which the card has not yet been announced.
Jake Ellenbeger enters this fight with an MMA record of 26-5. He is currently in great form with a five fight winning streak holding recent wins over the likes of John Howard, Mike Pyle, Carlos Rocha and Sean Pierson. Jake’s most recent victory was against Jake Shields at the UFC Fight Night: Shields vs. Ellenberger event held in September of this year. Ellenberger scored the victory in the first round via knockout earning himself ”Knockout Of The Night” honors.
Diego Sanchez has an MMA record of 23-4 and enters this fight coming off two straight wins against Paulo Thiago at UFC 121 and most recently Martin Kampmann in the headline fight at a UFC Live event held in March of this year. Sanchez earned ”Fight Of The Night” honors in both of these fights and will look to carry on the momentum in this fight against Ellenberger. Diego was fighting at lightweight but made the move back to the welterweight division in early 2010. Currently it seems to be working out great and both men look in great shape so I cannot wait to see who comes out on top that night.
Thanks Guys,
Jay Cee.
