Super Fight League have announced their headline bout for SFL 7 as Michael “Venom” Page (2-0) faces Haitham Tantawy (2-0) in a welterweight match-up. The event is set to take place in Mumbai, India on Nov. 2.

Super Fight League officials confirmed the bout today.

SFL 7 will also feature a heavyweight match-up between Daniel Amar Singh and Michael Pereira. Meanwhile, in a womens MMA bout Puja Kadian will debut against the highly regarded Walaa Kamaly of Egypt.

Here is what Raj Kundra, Founder/Chairman of SFL said:

“I am personally very excited to see Michael Page fight in India. He is a very unorthodox fighter and his style will impress the Indian and international audience alike! A future star in the making signed to Super Fight League.”

Michael Page is currently riding a two fight winning streak, most recently defeating Miguel Bernard via first round submission at UCMMA 27 in April. Prior to that he scored a first round TKO win over Ben Dishman at UCMMA 26 in February. Page now has the chance to put another notch in the win column with a big performance against Tantawy.

Haitham Tantawy is also on a two fight winning streak, most recently defeating Naser El Dahshmy via first round TKO at EFC 7 in July. On the same night he also defeated Ahmed Taha via first round TKO and will no doubt look to carry this form into his next bout. Tantawy is looking to become the first Egyptian fighter to win a fight in India, with three of his compatriots so far going home with losses.
