UFC on FOX 5 took place on Saturday night (8th December) at the KeyArena in Seattle, Wash. The event was headlined by a lightweight championship bout between current champ Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz.

Benson Henderson proved to MMA fans everywhere that he is the best lightweight in the world. In a matchup which lasted all five championship rounds, Henderson was able to implement a wonderful game plan that prevented Diaz from getting comfortable and working his boxing.

Henderson was able to do some early damage with his leg kicks, which had a clear effect on Diaz’s movement and mobility throughout the fight. Finding success within the clinch and with his takedowns, Henderson fought his was to a lopsided unanimous decision victory.

Also on the card, light heavyweight fighter Alexander Gustafsson scored a unanimous decision victory over Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, and Rory MacDonald defeated B.J.Penn via unanimous decision in a welterweight bout.
