A new bout has been added to the UFC 158 card as Mike Ricci (7-3) faces Colin Fletcher (8-2) in a lightweight matchup. The event is set to take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada, on March. 16.
UFC officials recently announced the fight.
UFC 158 will feature a headline bout between current UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and title challenger Nick Diaz. The main card will air LIVE on PPV with the prelims expected to air on FX and Facebook.
Mike Ricci last fought at The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale in December 2012, where he dropped a unanimous decision loss to Colton Smith. Whilst competing on the TUF 16 reality show, Mike defeated Dom Waters, Michael Hill and Neil Magny, earning himself a spot in the season finale. Ricci will no doubt look to bounce back into the win column with a good performance against Fletcher.
Colin Fletcher was last in action at UFC on FX 6 in December 2012, where he dropped a unanimous decision loss against Norman Parke in ”The Ultimate Fighter: Team Australia vs. Team U.K.” finale. The “Freakshow” defeated Ben Wall and Richie Vaculik on the reality show to earn a spot in “The Smashes” finale. Fletcher has the chance to pick up his first UFC win by defeating Ricci on March. 16.
