V3Fights have confirmed the headline bout for their next event as Chase Sherman is set to face Jason Ostrowski for the V3Fights heavyweight championship. The event will take place at Minglewood Hall in Memphis, Tennessee, on Jan. 19.
V3Fights officials recently announced the main event via official press release.
The upcoming event will also feature a battle for the vacant lightweight title as Tyler Hill squares off against Matt Holmes. Also, Dekaire Sanders has turned in his light heavyweight title to go down in weight to fight Daniel Sullivan for the vacant middleweight belt. This event will mark the first regional programming broadcast for V3fights with Comcast Sports South and Aggression TV.
Chase Sherman was last in action at a V3Fights event in November, where he scored a split decision victory over Jeremiah Trundle. Prior to that he picked up a first round TKO win over Bryan Lymuel at the “Summer Knockouts” event in July. Sherman will no doubt want to extend his winning streak to three with a good performance against Ostrowski.
Jason Ostrowski last fought at XCC 46 in December 2012, where he scored a first round KO victory over Josh Faries. Prior to that he picked up a first round TKO over PJ Sisco at ShoFIGHT 23 in October, and a second round TKO win over Robb Philippus at ShoFIGHT 17 in March. Jason will now look to put another notch in the win column against Chase on Jan. 19.
