UFC On Versus 5 takes place this coming Sunday (14th Of August 2011) and the main event of the evening will be between UK fighter Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy and veteran Chris “Light’s Out” Lytle. There is a lot at steak in this fight and we should be set to see a good brawl between fighters who are both strong in their stand-up abilities and like to fight with their fists. Dan Hardy is known for being an exciting fighter and character in the UFC, but has unfortunately hit a bad string of losses which obviously cannot continue. It is crunch time for Dan and he really needs to pick up a win against Chris Lytle to keep his job. Hardy’s losing streak begun when he lost a title fight with GSP for the welterweight title in which he was overpowered on the ground. Since then he has suffered losses to Carlos Condit and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson. Despite Dan’s bad luck recently he is a great fighter with an unmistakable identity within the octagon. Being from the UK myself I really wish him the best of luck and I would love to see him continue to compete within the UFC for a lot longer. Hardy’s opponent Chris Lytle is a veteran of the octagon and has been fighting in the UFC for a long time. Chris’s career has been up and down with wins and losses but at this current time he is also not doing to well. A win would definitely show that he has still got what it takes to compete with the best in his division. He is known for possessing high skills in boxing and has a reputation as a brawler. The ingredients and attributes of these two men set this fight to be a stand-up war and these two men will definitely be up for it on Sunday night. Make sure you tune in to this one people!
