Bellator 99 took place on September 13th at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California. The event featured a headline bout between Patricio “Pitbull” Freire and Diego Nunes. The bout ended with a first round TKO from Patricio Freire, who will now move on to the semifinal rounds of the Season 9 Bellator Featherweight Tournament.

After scoring victories in their fights at Bellator 99, Fabricio Guerreiro, Justin Wilcox and Joe Taimanglo will also join Pitbull in the semifinal rounds. Patricio Pitbull will face Fabricio Guerreiro and Justin Wilcox will fight Taimanglo in the semifinals.
