We were recently sent some samples of the Battle Balm martial arts training formula to try out. This product has been designed to provide topical pain relief for sore muscles, strains, tendonitis, arthritis, overuse, injury and trauma. The product also helps to reduce pain, swelling, and bruising, so it’s something that could benefit people involved with combat sports, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and other physical activities.
The Battle Balm product is made with 100% natural and organic herbs, and has been hand-crafted using both ancient and modern techniques. In a market dominated by just a handful of big brands this product aims to provide fighters and athletes with a topical analgesic that will loosen your muscles and reduce soreness.
For this review I started with the “Original Strength” balm and the first thing I noticed upon opening the small metal tin container was the pleasant menthol/herbal aroma. As I have recently been suffering with some aches in my lower back I first applied the balm to that area with my fingers. The balm went on smoothly and left my skin feeling very soft, but not greasy. In fact, the balm is absorbed by the skin very quickly, which means you do not have to feel uncomfortable when wearing clothes over it. This particular balm only gave a slight feeling of heat, so at first I thought it may not be strong enough to work on my back pain. However, after a short time my back started to feel easier and more relaxed.
Anyone wanting a more intense pain relief you should take a look at Battle Balm Extra Strength, and if you really want to take it to the next level then try Battle Balm Demon Strength. I tried both of these stronger options and found them to be extremely effective, but for regular use the Original Strength option is fine. The decision to have the different strength balm’s is a great idea as everyone is different, some people may need a stronger pain relief and some many just want something light.
The great thing about Battle Balm is that you can use it for so many different things. It is great for bruises, small cuts, strains, sprains, joint pain and swelling. When you train hard it is inevitable that you will need to let your body heal, and Battle Balm can definitely help with that process.
Overall, this is a really nice pain relief balm that works effectively and smells great. Designed specifically for fighters and martial artists, you can’t really argue with a dynamic product that is made with organic and natural ingredients. Battle Balm really does work and definitely provides an alternative to other products currently available on the market. Battle Balm definitely gets the thumbs up from me.
